                    River Guides

Here we have tried to detail the rivers we found. The file below contains more detailed notes on each of the rivers and sections which we paddled - as ever with guides, it isn't exhaustive and things can and will change in the rivers. Please use it as a template for planning, but not as a comprehensive and faultless guide. If you have any questions, or would like more information on any of the rivers or simply on travelling in Venezuela, please get in touch with us!

(Unfortunately Google chose to image the Orinoco in the dry season, so many of the channels and rapids are indistinguishable on this image)

                    Rapids Rauldares Altures:
Channels 1 to 6 (numbered from river right to left), grade 3-4+. (Red circle)

                    Palomason Rapids:
Beginning from the Rio Cataniapo (marked in blue), grade 4.
                    3 Gates wave (Yellow circle)

                    Titans Door Rapids:
The furthest upstream of this section (orange circle), grade 4+.

                    Gran Sabana

See the attached notes above, maps coming soon.
